Jing-Sha City is a twin city - combining the ancient city of Jingzhou and the relatively modern city of Shashi.
The ancient core of Jingzhou is protected by an impressive wall.
It was dark by the time we arrived, so this image is from a post card.

The star attraction of the Jing-Sha Museum is Mr. Sui - an amazingly well preserved corpse.
Although claimed to be over one thousand years old, the flesh is still on his bones and is soft and pliable.
His crypt was buried 30 feet deep and became flooded with water.
That, and the medicinal herbs placed in his casket are credited for his preservation.

Mr Sui’s crypt was also transported to the Museum.
